The Festival at the Switchyard honors the critical role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map and the continuing importance of rail in Carrollton's present and future. The event is held on the streets of Downtown Carrollton, situated off IH-35E at Belt Line Road, just steps away from the DART Green Line Downtown Carrollton station. With FREE admission, FREE parking, FREE rides, FREE games, and FREE concerts, the Festival at the Switchyard is a family favorite. The purpose of the Buddy Walk® is to promote awareness and inclusion of people with Down syndrome while raising funds that support the mission of the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas.
Participants can expect a family-friendly event for the entire community that includes inflatables, vendor tents, face painting, music, food trucks, balloon artists, clowns, PLAY STREET MUSEUM ON WHEELS and a 1.5 mile awareness walk.

Dust off your lederhosen and tune up your yodel for this year’s Oktoberfest. McKinney Oktoberfest is a family favorite, offering authentic German music, food and drink, traditional costumes, dancing, children’s activities including Play Street Museum On Wheels and much more!
The “bier garden” covers a total of 14 blocks throughout McKinney’s Historic Downtown square so you can enjoy all downtown McKinney has to offer with a German beer in one hand and a bratwurst in the other. McKinney Main Street, supporting sponsors and the shops in Historic Downtown McKinney will host nonstop activities in the heart of our great city.

PLAY STREET MUSEUM on WHEELS is pulling up to Canal Fest!
Canal Fest 2018 is a celebration of world cultures, featuring dance, music, art and food representative of cultures from around the world. Three performance stages provide an immersive and interactive exploration of culture. Each stage showcases one or more continents, while the area surrounding each stage features food, activities, children’s crafts, cultural displays and vendors. Photo stations will be placed around the festival, and attendees are encouraged to dress in clothing that represents their own heritage or culture.
Admission and activities are free.
Get ready for some exciting fun this Friday from 9-12 at Play Street Frisco. Play Street Museum on Wheels will be there too! Your admission will get you access to both PSM Frisco and PSM On Wheels. In addition each child with a paid admission will receive a free child sized frozen yogurt with one topping from our awesome neighbor Orange Leaf Yogurt.
